What the hey is xgfx?!
Simply put, xgfx means vegan & gluten free, together at long last. ♥♥♥
Jessy (HappyVeganFace), Kittee (Cake Maker to the Stars) and I recently started a web community to help bring more “xgfx”-ers together.
Have a looksy! Can’t you just feel the gluten free vegan love radiating all around?
We’re excited to announce that this web community is just a teensy part of a much bigger project we three have been working on quite diligently… that we hope you all will stay tuned for!
Hint: it involves a shiny neato blog, fun and useful info, and maybe some hardcore recipe lovin’… so get excited!
Speaking of Kittee… I am super lucky to be a tester for her upcoming zine which, happily, will also be xgfx!
Today’s post is dedicated to some of the many eats that Kittee will soon be unveiling in stylish zine form. You’ll want to keep an eye out for this one- because it’s gonna be good! Every single recipe I have tested has been a big hit, not only with me… but with my husband and kids too.
Also, since I hate to leave you guys without a recipe, I have borrowed Kittee’s recipe and recent appearance on Every Day Dish TV, where she shows the world how to make gluten free samosas! Samosas!!!! If you all aren’t hip to Every Day Dish TV… you will want to check it out! And, Julie Hasson is just so darned adorable!
Here’s a sneak peek at some of the foodz I’ve been testing:

Careful with these cupcake sugar bombs as they are very sweet and VERY addictive. The subtle hints of peanut butter and 'nanas make these babies shine!

These simple salad rolls make an awesome appetizer or light lunch... and the peanut sauce is spot on perfect!

Arepas Rellanas might just be my new favorite bready treat. We ate them yesterday for lunch, and then we made them again for dinner. Arriba!
And, last, but not least… samosas!
Thanks Kittee and EveryDay Dish TV for this supercute video! Many more awesome recipes can also be found here!

ah, your pictures are amazing! thanks so much for the razzle dazzle. i’m so excited to share our big stuff with everyone, it’s gonna be great.

awe… you’re so welcome. thank YOU for your awesome recipes!
and, yes, it will be great… !!! <3
Really excited about this community! I am not totally gluten free, but since my 11 year old is wheat free our dinners are almost all gluten free vegan meals!!
I love the new website! Looks great!
thank you!!! <3
Wow! Super cool. I can’t really play since I’m not really vegan and only tend that way. But, I’m always psyched to have more vegan gluten-free folks to follow.
I’m so excited that there will be an amazing resource to help those who are gluten-intolerant live vegan. I’ve had a lot of friends cut out gluten and reintroduce meat. Thank you for all of your work to create amazing recipes and a community.
awe…. :) so glad you appreciate it, Lisa!
I am on there now! Thanks for spreading the word. I love the video, Kittee, my husband wants some right now.
yay! <3
Looks fun and interesting! Will keep an eye out …
Thanks for letting us know! Awesome.
I noticed those balloons on your site this weekend and have now investigated all the fun new blogs. It’s fascinating. I saw 4 on like Sunday and a BUNCH more just yesterday. Fantastic idea. Maybe I should check again today?
What a fantastic idea to create a supportive web community! You girls ROCK.
These dishes look incredible. I love salad rolls made with rice wraps…the options seem never-ending!

I`m venezuelan and AREPA is our daily bread , hope you enjoy the link.
what part of xgfx signifies veganism? x’s are associated with straight edge, not veganism.
Hi Lauren,
Kittee came up with the abbreviation (acronym, what-have-you)… check out the explanation here: http://kitteekake.blogspot.com/p/xgfx.html
:)
This is so fun – I’m glad to be part of this great xgfx project! :)
Yay! We’re all super happy that you are a part of it too! <3
